Veil

It is said that during Samhain, the veil between the living and the dead is at its thinnest, allowing spirits to pass freely between the two worlds. A festival of the dead, Samhain marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the darker half of the year. The Celtic roots of what has now come to be known as Halloween, this ancient festival is, at its core, is a crucial time of year for reflection, remembrance and respect.
